Reverb has posted some great photos from the Doobies’ recent concert at Red Rocks with the Steve Miller Band.
It would be great to see a BIG all day one off Doobie-fest next summer that consists of two large stages connected by a ” stage bridge ” One stage for the current Band and one for alumni. The Doobies could have one or both stages going at any one time and could jam in the middle. It would be a ton of work but us fans would sure be happy! Angels Camp? or New York? Thank you
Thomas, Great idea! At least have a concert where all the key members past and present can perform. Perhaps it should be at the BR Cohn Benefit next year. Lots of time to give alumni planning time. plus it would be the core fan base that would really groove on hearing “Song to See you Through “and “I know you’re made that way” in the same day! I am one of those that would be front row center for that show. They could do a show with no hits at all and I would be happiest! Go deeper than the “choice Cuts” compilation. Well, let’s hope they read this, agree and pull it all together. Gotta haves: Skunk, Mcdonald, Tiran. Lots of work, but they would not regret it.
I forgot to say that the “current” band has been together longer than any Doobies lineup and are tighter than almost any band on the planet. This band Is The Doobie Brothers. Also Alumni and “friends” Thank you so much for all the years of great music but mostly – thank you for today.
